Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Resting Time: 30 minutes (marinating)
Total Time: 55 minutes
Serving: 4
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 1/4 cup white miso paste
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 inch piece ginger, grated
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
Method:
- Marinate the Salmon:
- In a bowl, whisk together miso paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until smooth.
- Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare for Baking:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Bake the Salmon:
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Notes:
- Do not marinate the salmon for too long as the miso can be quite salty.
- Broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes if you prefer a slightly charred top.
- Serve with steamed rice and vegetables to complete this wholesome meal.
